2008 Fiction Awards Competition Results

 

We are pleased to officially announce the results of The Ledge 2008 Fiction Awards Competition:

 

First prize ($1000): "The Only Other Indian" by Pia Chatterjee of San Francisco, California.

Second prize ($250): "Typesetting, 1964" by Carol Roh Spaulding of Des Moines, Iowa.

Third prize ($100): "Yellow Chevron" by Baird Harper of Chicago, Illinois.

Honorable Mention: "Floating" by Eric Sasson of Brooklyn, New York; "Flight" by Lones Seiber of Knoxville,Tennessee; "In the Ruins" by Rav Grewal-Kok of Brooklyn, New York and "Heat Through Glass" by Jen Silverman of Simsbury, Connecticut.

All of these stories will be published in the 2009 edition of The Ledge Poetry& Fiction Magazine.

2007 Poetry Chapbook Competition Results

We are pleased to announce that Michael Colonnese of Fayetteville, NC, is the winner of The Ledge 2007 Poetry Chapbook Award. His chapbook, Temporary Agency, will be published by The Ledge Press this fall and all entrants will be receiving a copy at that time.
